The life test method of lockable gas spring

The piston rod of the gas spring is vertically installed on the gas spring fatigue testing machine with connectors with both ends downward. Record the opening force and starting force in the first cycle, and the expansion force and compression force F1, F2, F3, F4 in the second cycle, so as to calculate the nominal force, dynamic friction force and elastic force ratio of the gas spring.

The locked gas spring shall be locked in the mid-span state to test its locking force. The measuring speed of the spring life tester is 2mm/min, and the axial compression force required for the piston rod to produce 1mm displacement is the locking force value.

Before the elastic locking gas spring test, it shall be cycled three times under the simulated working condition, and then locked at the middle point of the stroke. The measuring speed of the gas spring life tester is 8 mm/min, and the axial compression force required for the piston rod to move 4 mm is the locking force value.

Spring gas life test:

According to the test method, the high and low temperature storage performance gas spring has excellent test force, and then it is clamped on the gas spring life test machine. The testing machine performs gas spring cycle under the simulated working condition, with the cycle frequency of 10-16 times/minute. During the whole test, the temperature of gas spring cylinder shall not be greater than 50.

After every 10000 cycles, the performance of the force shall be measured according to the test method. After 200,000 cycles, the measurement results shall meet the following requirements.

Sealing performance - When the gas spring control valve is closed, the piston shall have good sealing performance to ensure that the piston rod can be locked in any position.

Cycle life - The cylinder after the high and low temperature storage performance test shall be able to withstand 200,000 cycle life tests, and the nominal force attenuation after the test shall be less than 10%.
